Aiur's StarCraft Blog

Wednesday, October 22nd

Hello StarCraft players. Yet another day has passed without a solution to my SP3 problem. However, I think I may find a solution soon. If it works, I'll do another update because I'll be able to fill you in with details on battle.net.

Today, the two members EvilSinz and Mookster on BWHacks were promoted to sectional and global moderator, respectively. I for one believe this was well deserved for both of them, and it will help BWHacks manage despite the recent lack of moderators.

From what I can tell, there are no leaked private hacks yet, primarily because there are no private hacks at the source of the previous leak, GhoztCraft. Don't get your hopes too high, though, because you never know when someone will upload a drophack and it get leaked to the public. After that, it'll spread like wildfire.

For the time being, this is all I have to show for today. If I get StarCraft working, I'll do another update and elaborate on the status of battle.net. Until then, see you later!

Tuesday, October 21st.

Hello, and welcome to my blog. Although it has been dead for some time now, I have finally gotten around to updating it again. While I won't be able to stay up to date with the status of battle.net due to an incident involving my AMD processor and Windows XP service pack 3, I will be able to post links to the latest hacks and any other news involving such.

As you all know, there has been a new patch for StarCraft (in this case, 1.15.3). Fixes for this patch include a major offset switcharound as well as fixing the exploit that allowed Windows users to lock up the game via a key combination. However, Zynastor has already released a new edition of Oblivion, which, thankfully, includes a auto-drop for the more-than-annoying Zerg Mineral Hack, as well as the Nuke Anywhere hack and the Rally hack. It also still has the ZDropHack protection and counter-drop, as well as detection and auto-drop for the pausing-method drophack (as far as I know, there is no protection against this).

There are no leaked public hacks at this point as far as I am aware. This probably won't be a very big problem thanks to the caution followed by the majority of hack makers after the huge leak of 1.15.2. Also, in the event that a private hack is leaked, it most likely won't be a problem thanks to all of the auto-drops in Oblivion.

Nano351 was recently banned from BWHacks following his statement that he was making an Anti-Oblivion. My question is if he was going to make an anti for Oblivion, why did he state that on a forum where Zynastor had the authority to ban him? Regardless, I am unaware if Nano is still working on this project.

And while I'm on the subject of Zynastor, I am sad to report that he plans to retire from hack making after this patch. This could be very bad news for BWHacks, as the resulting flood of leechers looking for Oblivion but finding nothing would be very detrimental for the server(s) BWHacks is hosted on. Perhaps Zynastor will stay for StarCraft 2, perhaps he will not. Only time will tell.

On the subject of StarCraft 2, it has been divided into three separate games: StarCraft II - The Wings of Liberty (Terrans), StarCraft II - Heart of the Swarm (Zerg), and StarCraft II - Legacy of the Void (Protoss). Each game will supposedly have a campaign as long as the full campaign for the Original StarCraft, as well as full multiplayer support. From what I've gathered, the first disk will be released somewhere around December 3rd, so I suggest you pre-order it as soon as you can.

Another fairly well-known (but much less popular) hack maker, AgentGOD, also plans on retiring at the end of 1.15.3 (most likely due to lack of competition from Zynastor and other hack makers). Nonetheless, there is a release of Apocalypse for the most recent StarCraft patch. Personally, I'm wondering if there will be ANY hacks for StarCraft 2 or the future patchs for StarCraft 1. Again, only time will tell.

There is yet another StarCraft hacking website called Battle Hacks, which is owned and ran by DUI_. It's a very small community at this point, but it will most likely grow as time passes and StarCraft 2 comes out. We'll have to wait and see to find out.

That's all I have for now. If you have a story or update you want to be posted on the blog, message Aiur at BWHacks or GhoztCraft. I can't access AIM right now, so those are the only ways to contact me at this point. Check back another time for the latest StarCraft information.
